This successful company, which still stands in Chester today, afforded Mitchell with opportunities to develop his excellent organizational, communication, conflict resolution and supervisory skills. It was here that he also realized the importance of community involvement and civic pride.
Mitchell has extensive experience in the senior care-giving field. The company he created, Caring Hearts Senior Care, provided services and in-home care to the elderly. He also has experience coordinating services for patients who were transitioning from drug treatment facilities to rehabilitation facilities in the company he was instrumental in forming, Race to Recovery Now.
An advocate for a holistic/realistic approach to rehabilitation, Mitchell believes in “whole family” healing with a focus on community collaboration. He enjoyed coaching his children’s sports teams, and as a result, continues to work with young people today by offering life skills coaching and mentoring to young people with mental and social abnormalities.
